Who We Are and What We Do
The Equestrian Dressage Club is a Club Sports team at N.C. State University that allows students to compete without having to own your own horse. We compete in intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) competitions as well as local competitions in the Raleigh area. For more information on IDA visit their website at http://teamdressage.com
Our main goal as a team is to care for our team horses, and have fun at home or at shows! We have the privilege of riding a wide variety of horses that can help take riders from intro to FEI. We enjoy lessoning with other members of the team each week, volunteering in our community and becoming the best equestrians possible.

Jeanette Lorenzen
Head Coach
I am an FEI rider and trainer with 40 years riding and teaching classical dressage. The journey began in NY then out west in Colorado where I rode any type of horse and did any type of riding. It has been Dressage that is the great passion of my life, and one that I truly love sharing with others! I earned my American Riding Instructors Association Certification specializing in Dressage as well as earned my United States Dressage Federation Teacher Certification. In addition to my teaching certifications, I have expertise in bit/ mouth anatomy, studied for over 10 years with a certified master saddle fitter, and have been rehabbing and retraining horses of various discipline by using correct basic dressage to create a sounder, healthier, happier and more enjoyable partnership between rider and horse.
I have been coaching the NC State Dressage Team for almost 16 years, and during my years coaching the team saw their first successes in qualifying riders for nationals each year. My passion has been to bring horses and riders up the levels into the finer, more intricate skills of the FEI.
